At Circus, my role transcended the boundaries of traditional frontend development. As part of the Flutter team, I dedicated myself to not just maintaining our app but also enhancing its user experience as we scaled to new locations each month.

Understanding the needs of our diverse and expanding user base was paramount. This required not only technical proficiency but a deep commitment to user-centered design principles. My work focused on optimizing app performance and intuitiveness, ensuring that new features were not just added, but seamlessly integrated into the user experience.

Ensuring the app's optimal performance for a growing audience, while also integrating new features, was a delicate balancing act. It involved a continuous cycle of user feedback, UX design adjustments, and technical enhancements to maintain a high-quality experience for our users.

Oculid

At Oculid, my focus was on enhancing user experience through innovative UX research methods, particularly in tracking users' eye movements. This project was not just about developing an app; it was about deeply understanding how users interact with digital products and using that knowledge to inform design decisions.

By analyzing eye position data and employing machine learning to generate data visualizations such as heat maps, we were able to gain unprecedented insights into user-product interactions. These insights became the cornerstone of our approach to refining UX/UI designs, aiming for the highest levels of user satisfaction.

The challenge was to translate complex data into actionable design improvements. My role evolved into a bridge between technical data analysis and creative UX design, ensuring that every insight from our user testing was leveraged to enhance the overall user experience.

UX/UI Designer

Value Villages

My work with Value Villages presented a unique opportunity to design software that was not just functional but also accessible to a broad audience, including those for whom literacy or familiarity with digital technology was a barrier. This project, aimed at empowering individuals through vocational training, required a reimagining of conventional user interface elements to be inclusive of all users.

The main challenge was developing an app that could be easily used by individuals who were illiterate or encountering a touchscreen for the first time. To overcome this, I redesigned standard interaction paradigms; for example, the login process was simplified to just selecting an image of oneself, and passwords were replaced with easily recognizable animal faces, such as a lion, snake, or giraffe, eliminating the need for text entry.

This innovative approach to UI/UX design was crucial in making the technology accessible and user-friendly, significantly contributing to the advancement of NGOs' missions on the ground. My role in designing these interfaces and implementing solutions was a pivotal experience in leveraging technology for social impact.

Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV)

Pivotal in updating UPV's Doctoral School website, focusing on user engagement and accessibility. Conducted site audits, and implemented modern design principles.

Used HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for a responsive layout, integrated video and interactive elements for educational content, and optimized for performance and SEO.

Collaborated with IT and content creators for a cohesive presentation of the school's offerings, enhancing the academic community's online experience.
